Diane Ruth McDonald Wingo passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born August, 28th 1955 in Greenfield, Iowa to Forest Wayne McDonald, and Luene Ruth (Sackett) McDonald.
She married Mark Wingo on May 29th, 1971 in Longmont Colorado. They would have celebrated their 50th Anniversary this May.
Diane loved to cook and entertain. Anyone that came to visit was always greeted with a good cup of coffee and an array of her gourmet specialties. Rarely could you stop by and not hear the music from the driveway and see her dancing in the kitchen. Diane was a self-trained herbalogist, she was very proud of owning Nature’s Harvest, one of the very first health food stores in Longmont. Diane also loved reading astrological charts for family and friends. Her ability to connect with all people, and to make them feel more spiritual and loved was second to none.
She is survived by her husband Mark Wingo, daughter Nina Larson her husband Jeffrey Larson and their children Max and Wyatt. Son, Tim Wingo his children Madison, William, and Jackson, and their mother Mariah Travis. Son, Matthew Wingo his partner Eryn and his child Sage.
Diane is also survived by her mother Luene McDonald Westrum, brother Rodney McDonald (Tammie), sister Brenda Clayton (Tim), nephew’s Jeremy McDonald (Heidi), Jesse Culver (Morgan), Ryan McDonald (Angie), Austin Clayton, Travis McDonald, Tony Mcdonald, Timmy Clayton (Erin), and niece Ashley Swanson (Clinton). Brother-in-law, Lee Wingo his children Tawney, Victoria, and Trey. Nephews, Jared and Joel Wingo, and niece Rochelle Wingo. Diane had a great relationship with each one of her nieces and nephews that they will cherish forever. She is also survived by numerous aunts and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her father, Forest Wayne McDonald, sister, Susan McDonald, nephew, Javen McDonald, father in law, Ronnie Wingo, mother in law, Bonnie Wingo, brother in law, Jeff Wingo, and her grandparents, Howard and Veda Sacket & Johnson and Viva McDonald.
We will be celebrating Diane at The Wingo Residence on Saturday, April 10th 2021 from 1pm-4pm.
