

Don Brolin passed December 21, 2013 at his home. He was 81 years old. Don was born on November 18, 1932 in Los Angeles, CA to Wade E. and Mary E. (Better) Brolin and grew up in Idyllwild, CA. He graduated from Hemet High School in June of 1951. Don served in the U.S. Army from 1953 “ 1955 where he attained the rank of Corporal. He graduated from San Francisco State College with a BA in January 1963. He studied radio, television and film production. Don was a kind and gentle man with a terrific sense of humor.Don married Colleen Graves in 1975. Don was first employed by Brolin Sand and Gravel in Idyllwild, CA; and then became a ski instructor and Public Relations Director at the Sugar Bowl in Lake Tah , CA. He retired as the Director of Photography for Warren Miller Entertainment in 1999 after working for them for 36 years.Don resided in Boulder, CO. He enjoyed sailing, skiing, photography, fishing and caring for family pets. He volunteered for many of the Longmont Symphony fund raising activities. He was a member of St Mary Magdalene Episcopal church.Don is survived by his wife, family and friends. Relatives include James and Maureen Gosser and Edward L. and Patricia Graves, Jr and their families.A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday January 11, 2014 at St. Mary Magdalene Episcopal church in the Heatherwood area of Gunbarrel, CO. Cremation entrusted to Ahlberg Funeral Chapel and Crematory.
