Donald R. Switzer

Donald R. Switzer, of Boulder, died October 23, 2007 at Hospice Care Center, Louisville. He was 74.Donald was born on December 22, 1932 to Lyndon Milton Switzer and Grace Ina Taylor. Raised in Boulder he graduated from Boulder High School, where he was active in sports. He married Arden Hope Lohse on July 9, 1955 in Boulder.After finishing school, Donald enlisted in the army and was stationed in Korea. He returned in 1952 where he joined his father in the electrical business. He ran the company until his retirement from Switzer Electric in 1986.Surviving are his children, a son William Todd Switzer of Broomfield, two daughters Sharon Switzer of Erie and Bonnie Yergen of Lakewood, a brother Jack Switzer of Rockville, Maryland and one grandchild Courtney Skillman of Lakewood.A cremation has been entrusted to the Howe Mortuary, Longmont.Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, October 26, 2007 at the Boulder Masonic Lodge, 2205 Broadway, Boulder, with Chaplain T.R.
