Long-time Longmont resident, Donald Weber passed away in Tucson, Arizona on February 17, 2014 at the age of 91. Don served as a WWII veteran in the Navy on the U.S.S. Catskill, and he retired from Rocky Flats Plant after working nearly 23 years as a monitor. He was an avid reader, he loved to woodwork in his garage, and he enjoyed camping and picnicking in the mountains. Don had a great sense of humor and loved to make people laugh with his limericks and jokes. He was the king of the one liners. He was also a member of the Elks Club #1055 for over 50 years. He is survived by the love of his life, his wife Ilene of nearly 50 years, his daughter, Jeanne Weber, and his two sons, Jay Weber and Ron Vulgamott, and many grandchildren and great grandchildren. His burial will be held at 10:30am at Foothills Gardens with the memorial service at 11:30am at Longmont United Methodist Church on Saturday, April 5, 2014 with a luncheon following.
