Donald Christopher Whitcomb

Donald Christopher Whitcomb, 49 of Fort Collins, passed away suddenly on March 20, 2019. Chris was September 19, 1969 in Greeley, CO and adopted in 1980 by Eugene and Lilly (Hardesty) Whitcomb at the age of eleven. Chris grew up in Longmont and graduated from Skyline High School. He lived in Longmont until moving to Fort Collins in 2001.He honorably served in the United Sates Navy. Chris worked in commercial constriction for many years. He built many high-rise buildings. He also worked at Grease Monkey when times were slow in construction.He loved football and was an avid Denver Broncos fan. Chris enjoyed riding in the mountains and collecting ˜collector' Hot Wheels. He loved animals.He is preceded in death by his father and his beloved dog, Brox who died just a week before Chris.Chris is survived by his loving wife, Patricia Catania, three children; Kristin, Micheal and Kevin Whitcomb, his mother, Lily Whitcomb, and twelve brothers and sisters.A celebration of life will be held on 1:00pm Sunday, March 31, 2019 at Lily's home 4110 Revena Place, Longmont, CO 80503.
