Donna Louise Cook

On Sunday, April 7, 2013 our dear, sweet Donna Louise Cook of Longmont, CO went to be with her Lord and Savior. She was born to the late Lyle and Wilma (Cole) Jennings of Herrickville, PA. She received her diploma from Wyalusing Valley High School and took, as well as taught, early pre-school education courses. She had a deep interest in early childhood brain development.

In 1960 she married Guy Cook who was the love of her life for over 52 years.

Her deep faith in God and love for her family and friends was evident in how she lived. She was very active in Rocky Mountain Christian Church as a Stephen’s Minister, MOPS mentor and part of the Healing Prayer Team. It wasn’t uncommon for her to put other’s needs above hers. She had a special bond with children and was always looking for ways to love and encourage them.

Donna is survived by her husband Guy Sr,. three children Guy Cook, Jr and his wife Nana and their children Ty and Josh of Cheyenne, Wyoming; Heidi Cook of Longmont and Yvette and Michael Terifay and their son Matthew of Longmont. She is further survived by her sister Jaqueline Wilson.

Preceding Donna in death are her parents and her brother Richard Jennings.

Memorial services will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, April 21, 2013 at Rocky Mountain Christian Church with Cris Crisfield officiating.
