Donna J. Renek

Surrounded by her family, Donna J. Renek, 83, passed away on January 1, 2009, at her home in Mead.She was born September 5, 1925, in Lafayette, Colorado, one of ten children born to William J. and Nodine E. (Dautrich) Luzmoor. She graduated from Boulder High School and married Carl Dohlman on Valentine's Day, 1946. They raised four children, traveling across the country as Carl served in the US Air Force. Boulder was always home to them. She later married Bob Renek, ""the love of her life"".Donna enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She loved to read, work on crossword puzzles, and always had a jigsaw puzzle in progress.She will be dearly missed by her daughters, Jody (Frank) Acedo, Sandy Dohlman, and Robin (Frank) Renek; granddaughters, Amy (Steve) Naumovski, Megan (Cody) Fleming, and Becky (Noah) Steele; grandsons, Michael and Joshua Baumgarten; and great-grandchildren, Sofia, Carsen, Kinsley, Wyatt and Elizabeth. She is further survived by a sister, Peggy Lazok; two brothers, Ned and Richard J. Luzmoor; several nieces, nephews and dear friends.She was preceded in death by her son, Michael B. Dohlman; husband, Bob Renek; five sisters, Winifred Coon, Betty L. Luzmoor, Nadine Monson, Wilma J. Luzmoor, and Bonnie Luzmoor; and a brother, William J. Luzmoor, Jr. A memorial service and reception will be held at Howe Mortuary and Cremation Services in Longmont at 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday, January 6, 2009.
