

Doris Jean Guill, age 99, of Longmont, Colorado passed away on Wednesday, March 13, 2024. She was born on March 7, 1925 in Chappell, Nebraska to Sidney and Blanche (Pebley) Law. Doris married Emil (Jim) Jensen on August 2, 1941. They divorced in 1963. Doris moved to Englewood, Colorado in 1962 and in 1964 moved to Longmont. Doris married George Guill on June 9, 1964. She was preceded in death by her husband, George, one grandson, Kevin and her six siblings, Sonny, Gordon, Pat, Gary, Kay and Ed. Doris was the oldest of her siblings.
Doris especially enjoyed gardening and canning the vegetables from her garden. She also liked keeping her hands busy and made many quilts by hand, crocheted numerous afghans and also enjoyed embroidering. Doris enjoyed sharing memories of her years in Nebraska; Oshkosh, Broadwater, Hutchinson country school near Rackett, the farm near Lyons, and Ogallala. Her favorite game was Scrabble and she was definitely hard to beat. She won way more games than she lost. Doris also liked to play Bingo with her friends at Brookdale.
Doris is survived by two sons from her first marriage, Jim (Mary Ann) Jensen, Ron (Donna) Jensen, and one daughter Linda (Ron) Stugart and one son from her second marriage Jeff (Maxine) Guill. She is also survived by six grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren. She loved her family and spending time with the five generations.
Doris committed her life to the Lord in 1968. She read and studied the Bible and prayed faithfully. She loved the Lord with all her heart and was looking forward to her forever home in heaven with Jesus, her Lord and Savior.
A graveside committal for Doris will be held Friday, March 29, 2024 at 2:00 PM at Foothills Gardens of Memory, 14241 N 107th Street, Longmont, Colorado 80504. Following the graveside committal will be a reception at 3:00 PM at the Howe Mortuary Reception Room, 439 Coffman Street, Longmont, Colorado 80501.
