Doris Dean Sollars Larabee

A graveside inurnment will be held Thursday, September 24, 2020 at 10:00am, at Foothills Gardens of Memory 14241 N. 107th Street Longmont, CO 80504.

Doris was born May 11, 1928 in Elmo, Missouri to William Earl Sollars and Cecile Howell Sollars (Harper). Doris was preceded in death by two brothers, Gerald Gaye Sollars and Edwin LaVerne Sollars, and one sister Phyllis Jean Sollars Dreher. She is survived by one brother Kenneth Sylvester Sollars of Longmont, Colorado and one sister Carol June Sollars Cook of Longmont, Colorado.

Doris is survived by two sons, William Earl Larabee of College Springs, Iowa and Timothy Lee Larabee of Longmont, Colorado and several grandchildren and greatgrandchildren.

Someone once said “The best portion of a good person’s life is their little nameless un-remembered acts of kindness and of love.” This thought truly describes Doris, as throughout her life she always had a smile and words of encouragement for everyone she met.

Doris had completed several nursing training courses in life, but the one she was most proud of was learning to drive an automobile late in life.

Doris was a voracious reader of books and enjoyed cooking meals for her family. She was especially proud of her chocolate cream pie and chocolate cake!
