Dorothy Willis (Edmondson)

Dorothy was born on May 12, 1934 in Denison, Texas to the late George and Martha (Hughes) Edmondson. She attended and graduated from Fred Douglas High School in Sherman, TX. On December 13, 1962 she married Roscoe Willis in Denison. Together they would make their home in Longmont where they would raise their three children. Dorothy worked for Levi Strauss, IBM, and most recently Lexmark. She was involved in the Lions club, and the Longmont Church of Christ. She enjoyed cooking and most of all her grandchildren. She was loved and cherished by all, and she never met a stranger.

Dorothy is survived by her husband Roscoe; children Roscoe A. (Autumn) Willis Jr. of Lakewood, CO, Steve L. Willis of Longmont, CO, and De’Lyne (Rudy Arvizu) of Longmont, CO; a sister, Martha Taylor of Dallas, TX; nine grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Gust and George Edmondson; sisters Mary Raglin, Rosie Douglas, and Margie Gilliam.

A visitation will be held from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 4, 2015 in the Howe Mortuary Community Room. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 5, 2015 in the Howe Mortuary chapel with Pastor Bob Lewis officiating. Burial will follow at Longmont Mountain View Cemetery.
