Dorothy Rae Holmes, a longtime resident of Longmont, CO passed away on December 2, 2009. Dorothy was born in Sturgis, SD on April 12, 1934. She is survived by her sons Scott Alan Holmes, his wife Shari and their two sons Seth and Reece of Johnstown, CO and Gary Lee Holmes and his wife Candace and two children, Colin and Kelsey of Nashville, TN.Dorothy had one brother, Jerry Bachleitner and his wife Velma of Magnolia, AR and their two daughters Lesley Haleton, her husband Mark and three grandchildren of Houston, TX and Sarena Cox and her husband Roger of Homer, LA. She was preceded in death by her parents Raymond A. Bachleitner and Florence Baker McConnel.A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 5, 2009 at 10:00 AM at Howe Mortuary Chapel with Chaplain Mary Dobbs officiating. Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to Howe Mortuary and Cremation Services.
