Dorothy May McDowell (Wisecup)

She was born June 5, 1926 in Longmont, CO to George “Ray” and Thelma (Lucas) Wisecup. On December 5, 1942 she married Leonard McDowell in Kimball, Nebraska. Their daughter Cheryl was the light of her life.

Dorothy was a homemaker and a lifelong member of Longs Peak United Methodist Church.

She is survived by her nephews Jim (Marsha) McDowell of Mesa, AZ and Gary (Sherrie) McDowell of Cheyenne, WY and their families, and her Wisecup cousins and their families.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents “Ray” and Thelma Wisecup, husband Leonard McDowell, and daughter Cheryl McDowell.

Visitation will be held on today, Thursday, April 3 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Howe Mortuary, 717 5th Ave. Longmont. Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, April 4, 2014 at Longs Peak United Methodist Church. Burial will follow at Longmont Mountain View Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to Longs Peak United Methodist Church or Beatrice Hover Assisted Living.
