
Dorothy was born on February 24, 1920 in Yuma, Colorado to parents Harvey Ward and Blanche Anciaux Ward. Her father passed away when she was 9 years old and she took over the care of her mother and sister thereafter.
Dorothy married her husband, Granville Franklin Roberts in 1941 in Loveland, CO. She worked at Markley Motors and The Times Call before accepting a position at Turner Realty in 1966 where she worked as an office manager for 30 years and has remained a beloved member of the Turner Family since. She was an accomplished writer with many published poems and short stories and an avid gardener.
Dorothy is survived by the Turner Family; Judy Turner, Arnold and Patricia Turner, Michael Turner, Kate Turner and Jessie Turner. Her dear friend Jeanne Holle and caregivers Petey Webster, Karen Sameshima, and John Hazlett as well as nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She is preceded in death by her husband Granville Franklin Roberts, parents Harvey Ward and Blanche Anciaux Ward, her sister Ruth Sandoz, Carl and Evadean Turner, Darrel Turner, and Mitchell Turner.
Services to be held at Howe Mortuary on Tuesday May 17, 2016 at 2:00pm with interment immediately following at Foothill Gardens of Memory.
