He was surrounded by his family at home until the end.
Ed was born on October 15th 1942 in Elmhurst Illinois and served in the National Guard from 1964 to 1970. He was baptized into the Lutheran Church on January 19, 2022
Ed is survived by Maxine, his wife of 56 years, two sons – Vance (wife Jackie), Wade (wife Mary), five grandchildren - Amber Reisbeck (husband Derek), Cassidy, Ethan (serving in the US Air Force), Hallie, and Levi Bunker, and three great grandchildren - Gunner, Hadlee, and Hazel Reisbeck. He is also survived by two siblings - Ronald Bunker (wife JoAnn) of Albuquerque New Mexico and Bonnie Walker (husband Stan) of Johnstown Colorado, numerous nieces and nephews and two brothers-in-law Max McGuire and Mark Mindek of New York City. He is preceded in death by his parents and sister Lynn Marie Rudey.
Ed's Family moved to Alamogordo, New Mexico when he was 10 years old, and he fell in love with New Mexico for the rest of his life. He graduated from High School in 1959. He worked for Martin Marrieta, for IBM, and worked as a general contractor under company name “Bunker Hill Construction” for 35 years.
Ed was a kind soul, never hesitating to throw himself into new projects. His love of the classic car chase began in 1976 when he bought his first Buick. You could catch Ed at any car show within a hundred miles showing off his newest project.
Ed was a member of The St. Vrain Antique Auto Club, The Mile High Buick Club, The National Buick Club, and The National Studebaker Club. In 1991, Ed founded The Rocky MT Buick Club in Berthoud Colorado.
His passion was antique cars (especially Buicks and Studebakers.) He loved car shows, junk yards, selling Buick car parts, car tours and traveling to National meets (where he won numerous awards.)
Ed loved Country Western Music, Marilyn Monroe, coffee every morning with the guys, and all styles of architectural designs and especially loved building and remodeling homes and buildings.
We will cherish our memories of Ed and will miss him very much.

February 1st 2022 from 1:00 to 4:00 PM
at Brookside Gardens - 619 East County Road 8, Berthoud, Colorado
