A Poem For My Mom

Life won’t be the same without you
You were always there
a listening ear
A helpful word of encouragement-
when needed
The joy, the sorrow, the laughter
All the things that we once knew
Where did those days go?
God has taken you
My heart is filled with sorrow
But I pray this will not last
For one thing is for certain
One must not live in the past
I know you are in a safer place
Where loving arms abound
Surely, we will meet again
Family, friends, come round.
People that we loved
They are still here
In our hearts forever
Love you
Laurie L. Proctor
