

Edwin George Green Ed died on Oct. 29, 2015 after a battle with heart and kidney disease. He was 75. Ed was born on Aug. 1, 1940 in Longmont, Co. He was the son of George and Elisabeth (Burback) Green, the youngest of 3 children. Ed graduated from Longmont High School in 1959 and received an associate degree in business from Parks Business College, Denver CO.In 1961 Ed married Karyl Lynn Earhart of Longmont, Co. He worked at Associated Grocers for 12 years as an accountant and meat buyer. Ed's career included a meat cutter apprenticeship and he became a meat market manager for 27 years, retiring from King Soopers. Ed was an avid fisherman, enjoyed golfing and vacationing in Cabo San Lucas, MX with his family. Ed was a dedicated Bronco fan, purchasing season tickets for the past 51 years, a tradition which will be carried out by his family. Later in life, his passion was spending time with his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.Ed is survived by his wife, Karyl having just celebrated their 54th year of marriage. He is also survived by a son and 3 daughters, Matt and Kris Green, Greeley CO, Leslie and Mike Herrera, Longmont CO, Jennifer and Kenny Kissner, Longmont CO, and Daphne and Tom DeNovellis, Greeley CO, 13 grandchildren, Tyler Green, Felicia Miller, Dustin Green, Sierra Green, Amanda Aschenbrenner, Heather Frost, Ashley Phillips, Lyndsey H del, Hannah Kissner, Zachary Kissner, Derek DeNovellis, Olivia DeNovellis and Dominic DeNovellis and 14 great-grand children. He has numerous extended family members including brothers and sisters-in laws, nieces, nephews and friends. He is preceeded in death by his parents, George and Elisabeth Green, a sister Betty Hennig and a brother, Donald Green.Visitation will be held 6:00 “ 8:00 PM, Wed., Nov. 4, 2015 at Ahlberg Funeral Chapel. The family will be present to greet friends. Memorial service 1:00 PM, Thurs., Nov. 5, 2015 at New Creation Church. A reception will be held following the service at the Shupe Homestead, 11931 N. 61st St, Longmont, 80503.
