

She was born in Baltimore, MD to Clark and Ruth Startt. She was one of 8 children. Ms. Gang graduated from Coppin State University in 1976, with a B.S. in Special Education, and she obtained her Masters in reading from Johns Hopkins University in 1984. Over the course of her teaching career, she touched the lives of countless students in the Baltimore City Public School system, Baltimore County School District, the St. Vrain Valley and private schools across the country. Eileen was a devoted churchgoer and Sunday school teacher, and volunteered with wildlife refuge centers, in special education classrooms and food banks among a variety of other places.
While Eileen lived in Baltimore, she enjoyed running, and was a member of the Baltimore Road Runners Club, where she and her husband Larry met. They continued to enjoy outdoor activities after they were married in 1984, and after her two boys, Adam and Chris were born in 1993. As a family, they enjoyed hiking and skiing. Additionally, Adam and Christopher were very active in athletics. Eileen and Larry were very proud of their achievements.
While in Colorado, Eileen worked for Boulder Country Day School from 2007 until 2013. Most recently, Eileen worked for Altona Middle School. Eileen also worked part-time at Fabulous Finds Upscale Consignment, where she had many wonderful friends, who were both co-workers and customers.Eileen’s proudest moment was seeing her sons graduate from college in May of 2015. Eileen attended St. Francis of Assisi Roman Catholic Church, in Longmont, CO.
Larry predeceased Eileen in 2007. Eileen is survived by her twin sons, Adam of Washington, D.C. and Christopher of Denver, CO. Her siblings, Cecilia Fitzgerald, Joanne Hoff, Noreen, Sharon, Jeffrey, Miriam and Brian Startt, of Baltimore, MD. Her brothers-in-law, David and wife, Roberta Gang of Springfield, MA and Robert and wife, Adrienne Gang of Miami, FL. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Tuesday, June 21, 2016 at 10:00 a.m., St. Francis of Assisi Roman Catholic Church in Longmont, CO. A service will be held at a later date in Baltimore, MD.
