He met Becky Palmer in 7th grade home room at Casey Jr. High and several years later they were married in 1964. They raised their family in Boulder and moved to Longmont in 1991. After retirement the couple traveled frequently, including over 30 trips to Hawaii. Jeff had a lifelong love of the mountains and was an avid fly fisherman. He enjoyed time at their cabin at Beaver Lake where he shared his love of the mountains with his grandchildren.
