Elda Mae was born on January 30, 1921 in Sabetha, Kansas, the youngest of ten children born to Edward and Mary (Hartter) Strahm. Elda Mae married Dr. Harry L. Wherry in 1942, they later divorced.
Elda Mae is survived by her daughter, Suzanne Roen, Redmond, WA; son, Michael Wherry, Colorado Springs and five grandchildren: Dr. Sean and (Trina) Wherry, Omaha, NE; Bregan Wherry, Chicago, IL; Shannon Wherry, Chicago, IL; Graham Roen, Sydney, Australia; Carson Roen, London, England; and one great granddaughter, Ferguson Wherry, Omaha, NE. She is also survived by her daughter-in-law Janice Wherry and many extended family members.
Mrs. Wherry was preceded in death by her parents, all her siblings, and by her son Dr. Patrick Wherry.
Cremation arrangements entrusted to Howe Mortuary and Cremation Services of Longmont. No services will be held.
