

Elizabeth grew up spending her childhood between Texas and Colorado as her family were migrant field workers. She worked in the fields up until the age of 26 and helped her mother take care of her younger siblings. On December 21, 1968 in Johnstown, Colorado she married her husband Antioco Morales. Together they raised a family with three daughters and resided in Bethoud, Colorado. Elizabeth worked at Longmont Foods for over 10 years and at Sherwood Enterprises as an assembly worker in Longmont, Colorado.
Family, friends, and her faith were extremely important in her life. She encouraged her daughters to seek an education and was proud of their accomplishments. She was a faithful member of Loveland Bilingual Christian Center in Loveland, Colorado for more than 25 years. She served as a women’s ministry leader, a Sunday school instructor, and served on the deacon board. She was a strong pillar in her church, encouraging those around her to firmly establish their faith in the Lord.
Elizabeth is survived by her husband Antioco Morales; her daughters Elvira Morales and her husband Jose Gomez of Aurora, Colorado; Esperanza Morales of Berthoud, Colorado; Andrea McKenna and her husband John McKenna of Pflugerville, Texas; her grandchildren Elizabeth Maldonado and Isaiah Maldonado; siblings Mary Romero of Berthoud, Colorado; Eve Castillo and Ruth Castillo both of Greely, Colorado; as well as many wonderful nieces, nephews and friends. In addition to her parents, Elizabeth was preceded in death by her brother Moses Castillo; her sister Francis Lopez; her sister Juana Briones; and her brother Inez Liges.
Visitation will take place Sunday, January 10, 2020 from 3:00pm-5:00pm at Howe Mortuary & Crematory, 439 Coffman Street in Longmont. A private burial will take place at the Greenlawn Cemetery in Berthoud, Colorado.
