Elizbeth Ann RafteryApril 20, 1934 – February 2, 2008Elizabeth Ann Raftery passed away peacefully at Peaks Care Center in Longmont, CO on Saturday, February 2, 2008.Elizabeth was born April 20, 1934 to Paul and Flora Raftery in Helena, MT. She graduated from high school in 1951 and from Washington State University in 1955 with a degree in commercial art. She moved to Seattle, WA where she worked for an advertising agency as a radio and television time buyer. There she met Dr. Richard F. Noble, and they were married in Helena on June 22, 1957.While Richard served in the Navy, the Nobles lived in Hayward, CA; Pensacola, FL; Yuma, AZ; San Diego, CA; Yokosuka, Japan; and Oakland, CA. The family moved to Cheyenne, WY in 1969. Elizabeth was an active volunteer with the Bishop's Guild, the Wyoming Epilepsy Association and the state legislature. The Nobles divorced in 1975.Elizabeth worked for the law firm of Hirst & Applegate and for the Honorable Ewing T. Kerr. She married John McInerney of Cheyenne in June of 1979. Elizabeth worked as a travel agent in Denver, CO and San Diego, CA, pursued her passion for art in Taos, NM and later moved to Pinedale, WY. She is survived by her children Paul Noble (Cindy) of Longmont, CO; Greg Noble (Peggy) of Anchorage, AK; and Lisa Fredrickson (Barry) of Chagrin Falls, OH and her brother Robert Raftery (Mary Kay) of San Jose, CA. She also leaves behind grandchildren Emily and Katy Noble of Longmont, CO; Nate Noble of Anchorage, AK; Matthew, Grace and Paul Fredrickson of Chagrin Falls, OH; and step-grandchildren Cathy Saxton of Pinedale, WY and Chad Mitchell of Calgary, AB. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband John and nephew Paul Raftery. Please send condolences to Howe Mortuary, 439 Coffman St., Longmont, CO 80501, who was entrusted with cremation.
