Ellen Iona Alloway

Loving Wife, Mother, Grandmother, and Great Grandmother, Ellen Iona Edmonds Alloway went to be with her Lord on January 26, 2025 in Greeley, Colorado. Ellen was born to Emmett Earl Edmonds and Grace Estella McBrian on July 7,1926 in Greentop, Missouri. Ellen was raised in Beaver City, Nebraska and attended school there during her teen years. She later worked in Kearney and McCook, Nebraska. After Arthur (Pete) Alloway returned from military service, he and Ellen were married in Norton, Kansas on February 2,1945. Soon after, they moved to Longmont, CO. Ellen and Pete raised three children together, Timothy, Rita, and Mark. Ellen was a wonderful homemaker and also worked outside the home in restaurants and at the Berthoud nursing home. After moving to Dacono, Colorado, Ellen served on a number of committees for the city. She also was a member of the V.F.W. Auxiliary 2601 in Longmont. Ellen had 6 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Survivors are Timothy and Sherry Alloway, Rita Alloway, Mark and Coleen Alloway, Nieces, Nephews, and many friends & neighbors.
