Emilea C. Gonzales

Emilea Cruz Gonzales passed away January 8, 2013 at Applewood Living Center in Longmont. She was 92.She was born on July 20, 1920 in San Antonio, Texas to Agapito and Carmen C. (Castro) Cruz.She moved to Colorado in 1956 from Lubbock, TX. She resided and worked in Longmont for 50 years. Emilea worked very hard throughout her life. She raised her family after her husband passed away in 1968 and was very involved in helping raise her Grandchildren. She enjoyed playing bingo in her retirement. She will be missed by many loving friends and family. She was preceded in death by her husband, Martin G. Gonzales, her sons, Frank Martin and Manuel Henry, three sons who died in infancy, her sisters Frances Rehr, Rita Landgren, and Antonia Rodriguez, and her brother, Antonio Cruz.She is survived by her sister Martina Martinez and her brothers Ferman Cruz and John Cruz, her sons Robert, Migel, Martin and Randy Gonzales, five grandchildren and nine Great-grandchildren.Rosary prayers will be at 12:30 PM Thursday January 17, 2013 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, with Mass to follow at 1:00 PM and Burial at Longmont Mountain View Cemetery at 2:30 PM.
