
Ernest Denton Ball, 82, of Longmont passed away January 26, 2017 at Longmont United Hospital. He was born June 15, 1934 in Tecumseh, Oklahoma. Ernie married Annette Buccola on August 27, 1955 in Pueblo, Colorado. They moved to Longmont, Colorado in 1998 from Chicago, Illinois. Ernie worked for the Santa Fe Railroad for nearly 43 years. He retired as a Power Distribution Supervisor in 1996.Ernie and Annette are active members of St Frances of Assisi Catholic Church and Ernie was a loyal usher for many years. He also volunteered at Longmont United Hospital. Ernie was an avid reader, loved to garden, a day trader, and one heck of a domino player. One of his favorite past times was to sit on his deck and enjoy the sunshine. He was always a gentleman and so good natured¦..and loved by everyone who knew him. His family and friends meant the world to him. He was a devoted husband, loving father and doting papa!He was preceded in death by his parents Fred and Iris Ball.Ernest is survived by his wife Annette, eldest son Bryan Ball, wife Debbie, daughter Shelley Langosch, husband Walter, youngest son Brad Ball, wife Cindy two brothers Darrell Ball and Jerry Ball, wife Sherrill, a sister Wanda Stansell, six grandchildren; Lisa Abel, husband Rob, Christopher Ball, Mackenzie and Madelyn Langosch, Avery and Calin Ball and 4 great grandchildren; Addison, Aubrey, Allie and Ava Abel.Visitation will be at 9:30 am on Tuesday Jan. 31, 2017 at St Frances of Assisi Catholic Church, with Mass of Resurrection starting at 10:30 AM at the Church. Interment will be Friday February 3, 2017 at Tecumseh City Cemetery in Tecumseh, Oklahoma. Contributions can be made to HOPE and sent in care of Ahlberg Funeral Chapel.
