Gene was born in Lincoln, Nebraska to Lois Nadine Balster Jackson and Wayne “Leroy” Jackson on October 9, 1960.
Gene was preceded in death by his parents Wayne Leroy Jackson, and Lois Nadine Jackson, his in laws Ernest and Eleanor Haworth, and brother in law Loren Haworth, and several Aunts, Uncles, and Cousins.
Gene is survived by his wife Lorraine Jackson, two daughters, Tonya Cox (Matt), Jami Madrid, four Grandsons Dylan Cox, Christian Cox, Brandon Cox, and Marshall Madrid all of Longmont, Colorado. Brothers David Jackson (Lisa), Gary Jackson (Sandy) both of Evans, CO, Butch Jackson of Greeley, & Honorary Sister Deb Morgan, several nieces, nephews, and cousins, sister-in-laws Mabel Kallem, Gail Keeler (John), & brother-in-law Norman Haworth, all of Billings, Montana.
Gene loved spending time with his family, the Denver Broncos (win or lose), fishing, camping, and hunting. Gene also loved to joke, and was always ready for a pulling a good prank. Gene was a wonderful husband, father, and grandfather. He had attended Ames Community College studying Auto Body Painting. Prior to opening his own business, Gene was a licensed plumber. Gene owned and operated Affordable Professional, & Painting for over 20 years in Longmont, until his health began failing. Gene was fortunate to have his family work with him including his Father, Brothers, Nephews, and Nieces over the years, his brother Butch was his lead man for 15 years. His Wife, Daughters, Son-in-Laws, and Grandson Dylan worked by his Grandpa’s side from the time he could walk until he went to preschool, Grandpa already had his Grandson Christian in training and on the job; Christian was 3 at the time.
A celebration of life will be held at Alhberg Funeral Chapel at 11:00 am on Friday, December 11, 2020. Unfortunately due to the Covid 19 virus, sitting has been limited to 25. The service will be live streamed at www.ckpmediaservices.com/live Visit www.ahlbergfuneralchapel.com to share condolences.
