Evelyn B. Los

Evelyn B. Los, age 91, of Longmont, Colorado, passed away peacefully in her home at Beatrice Hover Assisted Living, Friday, February 9th, 2024. Evelyn was born in Amsterdam, New York on March 29th, 1932, and resided there for several years. She met her husband, Edmund Los, in high school and the two were married on December 17th, 1950. Edmund and Evelyn were married 55 years before Edmund passed away on August 16th, 2005. Evelyn was a secretary in Amsterdam, New York prior to moving her family to Schenectady, New York. In Schenectady, Evelyn was a member of Niskayuna Reformed Church where she worked as a preschool teacher for almost 29 years and was a volunteer for the Stephen’s Ministry. Evelyn and her husband also loved to square dance and were members of a square-dancing club at that time. In 1995, Evelyn and her husband moved to Edgewater, Florida. Evelyn loved being involved in her community and was a member of the Coronado Community United Methodist Church. She attended a women’s Bible study, enjoyed line dancing, swimming, and tole painting. Evelyn lived in Florida 21 years prior to relocating to Longmont, Colorado in 2016 to be closer to her sons, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Evelyn is survived by: Layne E. Los (son) and Theresa Los (daughter-in-law) of Erie, Colorado, Leslie E. Los (son) and Laura Los (daughter-in-law) of Firestone, Colorado; five grandchildren, Eric Los of Loma, Colorado, Vanessa and Christiana Los of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Stephanie Spear of Laramie, Wyoming, and Jessica Lindmier of Laramie, Wyoming; six great-grandchildren, Maeve and Emeric Los of Loma, Colorado, Matthew and Nathan Spear of Laramie, Wyoming, and Erika and Haley Lindmier of Laramie, Wyoming. Evelyn is preceded in death by her son, Lauren E. Los and her husband Edmund R. Los. Evelyn was loved by many for her vibrant personality, her deep-rooted faith, and the care and generosity she showed to those around her. Evelyn loved the Lord Jesus Christ with all her heart and soul and now lives in eternity with her Heavenly Father.
