Filiberto ""Phil"" A. LohmanFiliberto ""Phil"" A. Lohman, son of Filiberto G. Lohman and Carolyn Gomez Lohman was born in Dulce, New Mexico on December 16, 1933 and died at his home surrounded by his family on August 24, 2009 at the age of 75. On December 26, 1953, Phil was united in marriage to the love of his life, Virginia Armenta in Aztec, New Mexico. From this union, they were blessed with nine children: Rudy, Elaine, Katrina, Mario, Priscilla, Donald, Richard, Joseph, and Steven. Phil was a barber who had businesses in various locations in New Mexico and Colorado. He served in the U.S. Navy, was very active in Knights of Columbus, and in his church. Phil enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing pool, ""fixing"" things around the house but mostly spending time with his family.Phil is survived by his wife, Virginia of Longmont, Colorado; sons, Rudy (Twyla) of Elizabeth, Colorado, Donald (Lorraine) and Steven (Tara) both of Longmont, Colorado, Richard (Lori) of Perry, Iowa, Joseph (Leigh Anne) of Frederick, Colorado; Daughters, Elaine Lohman (John Paul) of Lafayette, Colorado, Katrina (Mike) Hammontree of Longmont, Colorado; Grandchildren, Shona, Kasey, Tarah, Aaron, Troy, Ryan, Kimberly, Vincent, Chelsey, and Shane. He is further survived by his brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends.He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Chris and Gene; son, Mario; daughter, Priscilla; son-in-law, Loren; grandchildren, Christopher and Travis.Visitation is scheduled for Thursday, August 27 from 2 until 6 p.m. followed by a Rosary service at 6:30 p.m. at Howe Mortuary Chapel. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, August 28 at St. John The Baptist Catholic Church. Services will conclude at the Church with cremation to follow at Howe Mortuary and Cremation Service. Private inurnment services will be held at a later date.
