Frank was born on November 20, 1929 in Orange, New Jersey to Francis John Gallagher, Sr. and Susan McSorley Gallagher. Raised in New Jersey, he grew up in the Catholic Church faithfully attending weekly Masses.

He loving cared for his wife Rita as her health continued to decline. Following her death, he moved to Longmont to be with his daughter and her husband.
He was a long time member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church, the Teamster’s Union, the V.F.W. and the Moose Club. He was fortunate enough to have been selected to go on the Freedom Flight to Washington D.C. this year. It was truly the trip of a lifetime and one he continued to talk about with great excitement.
