

Frank was born on September 6th, 1945, to Rufus and Gladys Sawdey in Longmont, Colorado. He grew up alongside his four siblings on a small homestead where everyone helped with farm chores.
After Frank graduated high school, he continued to maintain his farm and raise cattle, he also worked as a Journeyman lineman for the City of Longmont for over 30 years before retirement.
Frank married Sandy the love of his life on August 24th, 1968. Together they raised their son Scott in a loving and caring home.
During his free time, he enjoyed farming, camping, riding his Harley Davidson Trike, being a 4-H leader and helper for many years, and in his later years watching western television shows and movies.
Frank is fondly remembered as being a caring father, grandfather, brother and friend.
Frank is preceded in death by his parents Rufus and Gladys Sawdey, his wife Sandy Sawdey, his bothers James Sawdey and Robert “Bob” (Sherry) Sawdey.
He is survived by his son Scott (Renee) Sawdey, his siblings Inez Sawdey and Doris Sawdey, grandchildren Jacob Sawdey, Dustin Sawdey, Sierra Sawdey, his nephews Richard (Maria) Sawdey, Lee (Kristine) Sawdey, great nephews Robert Sawdey, T.J. Sawdey and his cousin Judy Lyda.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his honor to the Honor Flight or TRU Community Care Hospice.
A Memorial Service for Frank will be held on Friday, June 13, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. at Howe Mortuary & Crematory located at 439 Coffman Street, Longmont, Colorado. A reception will follow the service. At his request casual attire is encouraged.
