

Frederick ˜Fred' Taylor passed away December 5, 2014 at Sunrise at Flatirons in Broomfield. He was 88 years old.He was born April 10, 1926 in Cheyenne, Wyoming to Wayne and Ruth Taylor. Fred was raised in Pine Bluffs, Wyoming.He enlisted in the US Navy during WWII and was recalled to active duty for the Korean War. He was Honorably Discharged from both tours of duty.On January 15, 1951 he married Eloyse Ruff in Ft. Collins, CO and they made their home in Cheyenne, WY.In Cheyenne Fred worked for both the railroad and the Post Office. He then went to work for RCA as a teletype specialist in Spokane, WA and Salt Lake City, Utah. He moved his family to Longmont in 1966 and began his final career chapter with the US Post Office, retiring as a postal supervisor in 1984.He attended New Creation Church. Fred enjoyed getting together for coffee with his many buddies from the Post Office; going on drives, especially jetting around with his daughters; trips to Blackhawk; University of Wyoming Cowboys football; the Denver Broncos; NASCAR and operating Ham radio.He was preceded in death by his parents, son Aaron in 1975, wife Eloyse in 2003, brother Roger Taylor and sister Mary Miller.Fred is survived by daughters Debby Griffith (Charley) of Berthoud, Roxanne Moore (Nick) of Longmont and Tracey Allen (Mike) of Longmont, son James Taylor (Chyrl) of Louisville, grandchildren Lagen McLachlan, Michelle McCoy, Misty Bragg, Jenny Neal, Charley Griffith, Jill Ishmael, Levi Gutierrez, Daniel Torres, Aaron Torres, Jarad Taylor and Jadon Taylor and nineteen great grandchildren.Memorial services will be held 11:00am Wednesday, Dec. 10, 2014 at New Creation Church. Cremation entrusted to Ahlberg Funeral Chapel and Crematory. Memorial contributions may be made to the OUR Center and sent in care of Ahlberg Funeral Chapel.
