Fuiko June Smith

of Firestone, CO where she lived with her son and daughter-in-law

June left her home in Nagasaki, Japan after marrying Major Jack Edwin Smith in 1951. Now married to a Major in the Army they moved around alot. One of their first stops was Phoenix, AZ where Mike, their only son was born. From there they went to Alaska, Georgia, Ford Ord, California, Frankfurt, Germany back to the US and then finally settling in Seal Beach, CA in 1967.

June would then live there for the next 55 years, 20 by herself after the passing of her husband in 2002. June maintained her house by herself until the age of 95! At that time all thought (including June) it best to be closer to her family in Colorado.

She is survived by her son Mike, daughter-in-law Sierre and granddaughter Amber and husband Jon and Nephew Gary and Nieces Debbie and Susan.

June was a very strong independent woman. She was loved by many and will be missed by all who knew her.

Cremation is entrusted to Howe Mortuary & Crematory of Longmont, Colorado.
