George was passionate about his friends and family. He always lit up a room wherever he went with his humor and larger-than-life personality.
George was born in Fayetteville, AR on December 29th, 1972. He graduated from Central High school (1991) in Grand Forks, ND and went on to earn a bachelor’s degree from ITT Technical Institute (2003) in Denver, CO.
George loved music and went on to play in a band in Los Angeles after high school. He then moved to Denver, CO in his early twenties and worked in the restaurant, entertainment industry for a few years. He eventually decided to earn his undergraduate degree in electrical engineering and went on to work at Seagate Technology for 15+ years.
George will be missed by so many of us – he leaves behind his son, Riley Scott; his brother, James (Art) Scott; his mother, Rebecca Howard; his former wife, Ginger (Peterson) Scott; and Riley’s mother, Diane Kingsbeck. He is preceded in death by his father, James Scott. George also leaves behind a host of cousins, aunts, uncles and other assorted relatives who always said, “Oh good. George will be here. That’s the best!” whenever they had a chance to see him.
A private family gathering was held June 5th at his mother’s home in Longmont, CO.
