Gerald Taylor

Gerald Taylor, 87, of Loveland, CO passed away February 26, 2015. Gerald was born on October 2, 1927 in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada to Ernest and Nellie (Isherwood) Taylor.Gerald grew up in Canada and married Joyce Rose Duncan on May 6, 1948 in Winnipeg. He served for 17 years in the Canadian Army and Navy. They moved to the Longmont area in 1965. Gerald was a senior electrical engineer in computer research and development.Gerald was a Barbershop singer, in both Boulder and Loveland, as well as in Poughkeepsie, NY.Gerald enjoyed restoring old cars, gardening (tomat s), photography and shooting pool.Gerald was preceded in death by his wife Joyce on February 10, 2015, his parents and a brother.Gerald is survived by his son Larry Taylor (Peggy), daughters Janet Taylor, Karen Lanter and Laura Baur (Les), 8 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.A memorial service celebrating the lives of both Gerald and Joyce will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, March 7, 2015 at Ahlberg Funeral Chapel.
