Geraldine Rita Gerri"" Bustamante

Gerri was born on January 3, 1952 in Longmont to Fred Bustamante and Mary Torres Bustamante.

Gerri had a thirst for knowledge and education. Following graduation from Longmont High School she attended Aims Community College, before graduating from the University of Colorado with a business degree. She later attended CU Law School.

Gerri’s first and foremost desire was to help people, regardless of the personal sacrifice involved. She worked for a number of years with Boulder County Legal Aide. She later assisted the community with Boulder County Housing Authority and was a team leader with the Colorado Census Bureau. Most recently she trained and practiced as a massage therapist in Longmont. She felt so blessed to be granted six wonderful grandchildren she got to spend so much quality time with.

Preceding her in death are her father and a brother Andrew Bustamante.

Surviving are her mother of Longmont; a daughter Andreana (Juan Moctezuma) Bustamante of Longmont; three brothers James (Pamela) Bustamante of Ft. Lupton; Bennie Steve Bustamante of Longmont and Abe (Lori) Bustamante of Mead; two sisters Eleanor (Robert) Cruz of Frederick and Irene (Philip) Martinez of Thornton; 6 grandchildren Justice, J. Andrew, J. Alfredo, Aaron, Alex and Gerrah Moctezuma.

A visitation will be held Monday, October 1 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the LifeBridge Christian Church.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, October 2 at Rocky Mountain Christian Church with Pastor Fabian Vasquez officiating.

Interment will follow at Mountain View Cemetery.
