Gery grew up and attended schools in the Longmont area. After receiving his G.E.D, he entered the National Guard in 1979 where he was a track vehicle mechanic in Fort. Knox, KY and later transferred to the Denver installation in 1985. He spent most of his working years as a warehouse stocker for Blue Mountain Arts.
Gery enjoyed fishing and playing cards with his friends.
Gery is survived by family members including siblings Scott and Pamela (Rick), nieces Samantha (Matt), Baylee and Amber, 2 children with 6 grandchildren, as well as numerous cousins. In addition to his parents, Gery was preceded in death by his sister Sharon.
A memorial service will take place at Foothills Garden of Memory in Longmont, CO on August 27th at 10a.m.
