

She was born in Seneca, KS on November 5, 1932 to Joseph and Carie (Russell) Doherty. Gladys graduated from Colby High School in Colby, Kansas and received a degree in Office Administration from a Junior College in Oklahoma.
On August 1, 1959 she married Stanley G. Berry. She was a homemaker and mother and had a short career as an executive administrator for several insurance companies in Denver. Gladys was a Girl Scout leader, and a member of the League of Women Voters, First Christian Church and the Longmont Hospital Pink Ladies.
She had a passion for history, traveling, camping, gardening, and crafts. Together she and Stanley raised their family in Longmont at the foot of Longs Peak and Rocky Mountain National Park which were two of her favorite destinations.
Gladys was preceded in death by her husband Stanley, daughter Laura Wyman, her parents and 10 of her 11 brothers and sisters.
She is survived by her son David R. Berry; grandchildren Amanda Seyfert and Alisha Beck; great grandchildren Acacia and Sumara Seyfert and Emrie Beck of Coeur d’Alene, ID; and her brother Rex Doherty of Irvine, CA.
