
Glen Pep Peppler, 82, of Longmont, went to be with his precious Lord and Saviour February 3, 2011. He was born May 9, 1928 in Loveland to Alex and Marie Peppler. His family moved to Longmont and farmed in the area for many years. While attending Longmont High School, he met his sweetheart, Valdean Brown. They married May 2, 1947 in Goodland, Kansas.Early on, Glen found his calling as a salesman at Hajek Chevrolet. He worked there for nearly half a century selling approximately 20,000 vehicles. He won numerous sales awards and was a member of the Legion of Leaders 100 Car Club. Glen had a hard time retiring, as he loved sales.Glen was an avid sports fan, especially boxing, as he was a Golden Gloves boxing champion for Colorado. He also enjoyed fishing and finding treasures for his family at garage sales. Glen was a charter member of Terry Lake enjoying fishing and boating with family and friends for almost fifty years.He was blessed with a large family and always looked forward to spending time with them. Glen was faithful to pray nightly for each member of his family and their particular needs. Glen loved all his friends as well, which included high school buddies Art Adler and Eddie Bock and he prayed for them as well.Glen was preceded in death by his parents, his beloved daughter Delene Tuominen, two brothers and four sisters.He is survived by his loving wife Val of 63 years; daughters Cherine (Bill) Steel, Lyons; Bonita (Scott) Ekx, Platteville; Marci (Ron) Warembourg, Frederick; and son Glen (Rachelle) Peppler, Greeley; grandchildren Leissa (Eric) Pickering, Lori (Steve) Herman, Bill (Candi) Steel, Scott Tuominen, Angie (Doug) Johnson, Missie (Brian) Kraus, Kim (Corey) Dillon, Brian Ekx and his fiancée Rebecca Hoffman, Crystal (Mike) Hunter, C.J. Warembourg and his fiancée Lorinda Uhland, Cody Warembourg, Jeanna Peppler, Amy (John) Miller, Josh Peppler and his fiancée Arlene Gonzales; great-grandchildren Bowe, Shaeli, Monte, Grady, Billy, Gabby, Ellie, Brooke, Austin, Kade, Cameron, Ashton, Abi, Nicky, Tabor, Jayci, Jenna, Caleb, Jordan, Carissa, Brendon, Madison, Connor, Jaden, Alyssa, Colton, Amelia, Clayton and Coleson; brothers Leonard (Irene) Peppler, Gilcrest; Marvin (Maxine) Peppler, Longmont, and his sister, Edna Brown, Arvada.Funeral services will be held at Calvary Church, 2101 Gay Street, Longmont, Monday, February 7 at 1:00 P.M.
