

Born February 28, 1930 in New York City she was the daughter of Italian immigrants, Anna and Antonio Pioli. She married Harry Baur on August 18, 1956 and they raised three children.
Gloria is survived by her children, Terry Baur (Maureen) of Charleston, S.C; Lawrence (Jeanne) of Winterhaven, FL and Dianna McCabe (Wayne), Littleton, CO. She was adored by her three grandchildren, Christina Baur, Terence Baur and Marisa McCabe. She will be greatly missed by many friends, nieces and nephews.
Gloria was a graduate of Julia Richmond High School in Manhattan. She moved from NYC to Wantagh, New York in 1957 with her husband Harry and sons, Terry and Lawrence. In 1967, they welcomed their daughter, Dianna.
Gloria was a resident of Longmont for over 30 years and a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church. Her three children were her pride and joy which she expressed to everyone she encountered. She worked at Leo’s Family Restaurant for many years and was well known by many patrons who enjoyed her outgoing personality, sassy New York accent and quick wit. She had a passion for music and dancing which kept her vibrant throughout her life. She was a gracious hostess and was never shy about being the first one on the dance floor. Gloria always generously shared her time as a loving babysitter for her grandchildren or helping others when they needed a friend.
The family would like to thank the staff of Suncrest Hospice and Highline Place for the loving, respectful care given to Gloria. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 15, 4pm at Howe Mortuary, Longmont, Colorado with an open house reception following at the home of Gloria and Mike Andrews. A funeral mass will take place at a later date in Charleston, S.C. with a private interment at St. Raymond’s Cemetary, Bronx, N.Y. Memorial contributions may be made to the Colorado Alzheimers Association in Gloria’s name.
