Gloria S. Klug

She was born in Evergreen Park, IL on November 1, 1931, to Joseph Stanwich and Marion (Strong) Stanwich. Growing up in Chicago, Gloria spent her summers at the family cabin by the lake. Later on, her family moved to Northbrook and she graduated from Northbrook High School. She would go on to attend Culver-Stockton College in MO.

Gloria was married to George Klug before parting ways in the 1970’s. From their marriage, they had two children, Gary and Rich. After her retirement, Gloria moved to the Longmont area from Lansing, IL. Before that, she worked in the office/sales department for Manpower Inc. until 1999.

In Longmont, Gloria enjoyed being involved in many organizations in her community including the Friends of Longmont Library, St. Vrain Historical Society, and SeniorNet. She also enjoyed card games, spending time with friends, shopping for a good bargain, hiking, and adventures.

Gloria is survived by her sons, Gary and Richard (Rich) Klug. Memorial contributions may be made to the Friends of Longmont Library.
