Everyone who knew Grace loved her. She spent her time literally helping the poor, caring for the sick, and feeding the hungry. Her grandchildren and great grandchildren loved visiting her house on Gay Street and hearing her stories about growing up on the farm, meeting Riley, raising her sons, and almost getting attacked by a bear in Yosemite. She loved cooking for people and forcing them to eat seconds plus dessert. She cared fiercely for those she loved and would do anything to help make their lives easier. Grace always saw the best in people and was a friend to everyone she met. She always laughed at her son’s jokes even if they weren’t funny. The only things that made her angry were football and her neighbors not trimming their trees. She loved watching the Denver Broncos and Westerns. She would always talk to the TV and tell the characters to be careful. Grace was a card shark and spent many hours playing games with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She loved to dance, listen to music, and spend time with her sister Elaine and niece Donna. In 1995 Grace accepted Jesus as her personal Lord and Savior and was baptized by her son, Stan. Grace’s legacy is seen in all the people that adored her, and there are many.
