Guadalupe Hughes

Guadalupe Vidal Hughes, 87, of Frederick, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by family and friends on March 12, 2023. She was born on December 22, 1935, in Frederick, Colorado, to Jose and Feliza M. Vidal. She graduated from Frederick High School. She married Don Hughes on January 9, 1967, in Craig, Colorado. She lived in Frederick most of her life. She worked as a receptionist/medical assistant for Dr. Alanis and Dr. Miller in Denver. In May 1975, she opened a jewelry store called The Coal Mine in Longmont, Colorado. She enjoyed traveling with her husband and sometimes her mother would go along to visit relatives in Mexico. She also enjoyed cooking and baking for her family, friends, and neighbors. She was a huge fan of the Denver Broncos. Guadalupe is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and brothers, Joe Vidal, Richard Vidal, and Gabe Vidal. She was also preceded by four infant siblings; and twin brothers, Leonardo, and Florentino. Survivors include numerous nieces, nephews, and relatives.
