Harvey Allen Spaur

Harvey Allen Spaur passed away February 21, 2020 at Poudre Valley Hospital. He was 85 years old. Harvey was born on April 15, 1934 in Johnstown, CO to Delbert and Ruth (Adamson) Spaur. He Joined the US Navy in 1952 and was honorably discharged in 1960. In 1954 he married Glenda Fuhrman and they later divorced. On June 2, 1973 he married Paula Maxon in Redondo Beach, CA. Together they moved to Wellington, CO in 2003.Harvey was a salesman and then a sales manager selling commercial chemicals, having worked for Oxford Chemicals, West Chemicals and was self-employed for 20 years before retiring in 2000. He worked in Dallas, TX, Los Angeles, CA and several other locations.Harvey was of the Lutheran faith and was very involved in the Dort Collins Senior Center, especially in their Drama productions. IN his free time he enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing, traveling and writing.He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife Paula.Harvey is survived by his children Vicki, Allen, Wendy, Lance, Stephanie and Jeffrey; his siblings Delbert Spaur and Marjorie Cain; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and his beloved black lab Marshall.Graveside services for Harvey will be held at 1:00 pm Friday February 28, 2020 at Johnstown Cemetery.
