

He was born on January 25, 1948, in Munich, Germany, to Jose P. A. Sanchez and Hermine Cerveny Sanchez. After World War II, Howard’s family moved to France, later settling in Texas and eventually making their home in Colorado.
Howard attended William C. Hinkley High School in Aurora, Colorado, and went on to graduate from Colorado State College in Greeley, Colorado. He proudly served in the United States Marine Corps.
He built a career as an accountant and retired in 2013. Howard had a lifelong love of sports. As a young man, he was an accomplished wrestler, and in later years, he enjoyed watching football. He loved both sports trivia, and 1950s and 1960s pop music trivia. A devout Christian, his faith was an important part of his life.
Howard is survived by his son, Robert Sanchez of Florida; his daughter, Lisa Cunningham of Castle Rock, Colorado; and his sisters, Evelyn Barton of Denver, Colorado, Linda Mustian of Lafayette, Colorado, Angela Young of Irvine, California, and Christine Banks of Castle Rock, Colorado.
He will be deeply missed by those who knew him and remembered for his steady presence, his strong faith, his great sense of humor, and his love of sports and music.
