

Ida L. Trujillo, of Firestone, died August 16, 2006 at Exempla Good Samaritan Hospital, Lafayette. She was 73.Ida was born on December 27, 1932 in Sapello, N.M. to Gabriel Martinez and Manuelita Archuleta Martinez. The family moved to the area in the early 1940?s. She married Victor Trujillo on October 20, 1956 in Frederick.Ida was a wife and mother first, taking much interest, love and care in her entire family. In addition, she worked as a teachers aid for the Frederick Elementary School. She worked many years off and on for the numerous restaurants in the Tri Town area owned and operated by family members.Mrs. Trujillo was a member of St. Theresa?s Catholic Church, Frederick where she was a Eucharistic Minister and served communion to the home bound. She was a member of the Tri-Town Lions Club, participating in their food bank committee and bingo fundraisers.Preceding her in death were her parents, two brothers Sam and Peter Martinez and a sister Pauline Pacheco Martinez. Surviving are her husband of Firestone, three sons Jim Trujillo and his wife Tina of Frederick, Don Trujillo of Denver, and Ed Trujillo and his wife Christina of Westminster, two daughters Rosalie Chavez and her husband John and Debbie Monarch and her husband Mike all of Firestone; seven brothers John Martinez and his wife Nancy and Nick Martinez of Dacono, Leo Martinez and his wife Isabel, and Roy Martinez and his wife Shawn of Firestone, Ruben Martinez and his wife Diana and Max Martinez and his wife Cindy of Longmont and Felix Martinez and his wife Betty of Frederick, and a sister Charlotte Martinez and her husband Ignacio Guillen of Firestone, she is further survived by 11 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.Visitation hours will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Saturday, August 19 and from9:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday, August 21, 2006 at the Howe Mortuary.A Rosary service will be held at 7:00 p.m., Monday, August 21, at St. Theresa?s Catholic Church. Mass of the Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, August 22, at St. Theresa?s with the Reverend Robert Whipkey officiating. Interment will follow at the Foothills Gardens of Memory.
