

Imogene Johnson, 82, passed away June 6, 2015 at Applewood Living Center.She was born October 21, 1932 in Lilbourne, MO to Roy and Pearl (Bruce) Parks.On December 21, 1951 she married Paul Wilson. They moved to Colorado in 1955. Paul was tragically killed in an oil field accident in 1968 and Imogene was left to raise seven children. She married Everette Johnson on August 2, 1975 in Hygiene, CO.Imogene was a Certified Nurses Aid and loving care giver. She provided personalized care for many individuals as well as working at many area nursing homes, including 19 years at Foothills Care Center (now Peaks Care Center).Imogene was a member of the Hygiene United Methodist Church, where she was actively involved in many areas of ministry. She was both a Cub and Boy Scout leader. She loved Rodeos, was an avid Colorado Rockies fan and had been a camp host at Moraine Park.She is remembered as a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Imogene loved her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.She was preceded in death by her parents, infant son Jerry in 1961, husband Paul in 1968, husband Everette in 2009, four brothers and one sister.Imogene is survived by her sister Wahana Vellutini of California, seven children Martha Stange (Bill), Margaret Strong (Steve), Steve Wilson (Corrie), Susan Jaster, David Johnson, Billy Johnson (DeeDee) and Sonny Johnson (Debbie), 15 grandchildren Siobahn, Jenny, Amy, Jeff, Sarah, Charlotte, Cliff, Jed, Vanessa, Tara, Loren, Andrea, Aric, Sonjia and Codi, 25 great grandchildren, 3 step children Faye Johnson, Dale Johnson, Joyce Davies and their families, her sister in law Alice Hayne of Boulder, CO, and numerous nieces and nephews.Visitation will be from 4pm to 6pm on Tuesday, June 9, 2015, with a funeral service that will begin at 6 at the Ahlberg Funeral Chapel.
