Iris will be remembered for her love of family, sense of humor, work ethic and faith. Born in Charlevoix, MI, on March 25,1934, to Ruby Eliza (Gordon) Osborn and Rev. Arley Francis Osborn. As a minister’s daughter, she lived in several Michigan cities while growing up. Iris graduated from North Branch High School in 1952 and married the love of her life, Wayne Harold Deming, in 1955. After selling the family business, she was proud to continue her career at Lansing Community College where she worked until the age of 78.
Iris was active as a PTA president and took on many special programs at Lansing Central Free Methodist Church. A talented artist, she delighted her family and friends with hand-painted Christmas ornaments for over forty years. In 2013, she relocated to Longmont, CO. Iris will be lovingly missed by her children: Allen (Susie) Deming, Grand Ledge, MI; Sheryl (David) Wagner, Longmont, CO; and Dianne (Murray) Borrello, Alma, Mi; her grandchildren: Haley, Jenna, Ashley, Ian, Ariana and Aleksandr; and eight great grandchildren: Rowan, Finley, Levi, Alice, Riggs, McClane, Jones, and Gio.
