Isabel Sophie Davis

Isabel (Belle) Sophie Davis died August 17, 2009 at HospiceCare of Boulder and Broomfield Counties. She was 77.She was born on February 14, 1932 to Pauline Martinez and Manuel DeVaul in Longmont, Colorado. On July 31, 1948 she married John Davis at St. John's Catholic Church in Longmont, Colorado. Isabel lived most of her life in the Boulder County area. Isabel was a homemaker and mother to her seven children. When her children were older, she cleaned houses for a select group of people, most of whom she developed a close relationship with. She was also very active with the Church and Senior Center, decorating for numerous events and helping out whenever she could or was needed.Anyone that knew her knew her fondness for bells and spoons. People would often bring them back for her from where ever they traveled to add to her ever-growing collection. She took great joy in her grandkids and great grandkids and her home was always open to them. Even before her death they always brought a smile to her face, even through the pain. Her son Michael Davis, per parents, her brother Frank and her sister Jenny preceded her in her death.She is survived by her husband, her sons John and his wife Karin of Golden, Kevin and his partner Jennifer of Dillon, Frank and his wife Susan, Jaime and his wife Dennise, daughters JoAnne Glinsky and her husband Stephen, and Michelle Brack and her husband Richard all of Longmont, Patricia Davis of Arvada; 12 grandchildren, Lara Davis, Jessica Joiner, Erica Torrez, Charley Davis, Scott and Daniel Davis, Michael and Rebekka Davis, Richelle, Mitchel and Micade Brack, and Amber Davis and 15 great grandchildren.Cremation has been entrusted to Howe Mortuary and Crematory, Longmont. A rosary will be held at the Howe Mortuary, Friday, August 21, 2009 at 6:00 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 22, 2009 at St. John The Baptist Catholic Church, Longmont, CO. A private inurnment will be held at Longmont Mountain View Cemetery at a later date.
