

Jackie L. Hofer of Longmont, Colorado, passed away Thursday, September 15, 2022. Born on February 4, 1935, to parents Harold Hofer and Phyllis Nash-Hofer, in Alva, Oklahoma. He graduated from Dodge City High School in Kansas. He attended college at Fort Hays State University where he earned his Bachelor of Arts in industrial psychology. Jackie’s further pursuits in education took him northeast to Ohio University, where he earned a Master of Arts in human engineering & statistics.
Jackie lived in many states before deciding to settle in Colorado, moving to Longmont in 1980. A few years later he started his own publishing business, a venture that would prove successful by its many years of operation.
Jackie is preceded in death by his parents Harold and Phyllis Hofer, as well as his brother David Rinehart. He is survived by his wife Gretchen Hofer of Longmont, CO, his son Stephen Hofer of Tulsa, Oklahoma, his daughters Suzzanne Ahmann of Rogers, OK, & Jacqueline Klein of El Cajon, CA, his sister Linda Waldron, his granddaughter Krista Johnson of Conroe, TX, his grandsons Evan & Noah Klein, and his great-grandchildren Makylah, Matea, and Noah Stroder of Conroe, TX.
