James Paul Cramer

Jim was born on July 18, 1958, in Highland Park, Illinois, to Richard Cramer and Dorothy (Eckert) Cramer. He attended Holy Cross Parochial School through the eighth grade, where he also served as an altar server at Holy Cross Parish in Deerfield. During his youth, he was active in Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts. He graduated from Deerfield High School, where he enjoyed theater arts, before earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Geology from the University of Oklahoma. He later completed his MBA at Oklahoma City University.

On February 5, 1983, Jim married his college sweetheart, Karen Fowler, beginning a loving marriage that spanned more than four decades. In 2004, they made their home in Longmont after relocating from Yukon, Oklahoma.

Jim had a long career in manufacturing, engineering, and supply chain leadership. Most recently, he served as a Senior Category Management Lead with Ricoh. Throughout his career, he also held leadership positions with WSP as a Senior Technical Supply Chain Project Manager, EPIC Technologies as Global Commodity Manager, and Seagate, where he served in numerous roles including Commodity Manager, Quality Business Excellence, Manufacturing Operations, Plant Manager, Engineering Manager, E-Commerce Program Manager, and Customer Service Manager for Americas Operations.

He volunteered as a Boy Scouts leader and merit badge counselor, was a member of the Knights of Columbus, and previously served as a youth soccer coach and registrar for the Yukon Soccer Club. In Longmont, Jim was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church.

Jim found joy in travel, golf, reading, woodworking, rockhounding, yard work, landscaping, skiing, and especially spending time with his family.

Jim is survived by his beloved wife, Karen (Fowler) Cramer of Longmont, Colorado; his son, Christian Cramer of Longmont, Colorado; his daughters, Alyssa Rohlman (Eric) of Normal, Illinois, and McKendra Cramer of Longmont, Colorado, as well as his sister, Virginia Cramer of Longmont, Colorado.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Richard Cramer and Dorothy Cramer.

A Rosary will be held at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church on Friday, July 10, 2026 at 9:15AM, followed by visitation at 9:35AM. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church on Friday, July 10, 2026 at 10:00AM. Interment will follow at Mountain View Cemetery.
