

James (Jim) Murray French 78, of Longmont, Colorado, Passed away on November 10, 2014. He was born June 1, 1936 in Denver, Colorado, only child of James Milton French and Ethel L. Murray. He was a native of Colorado.
Jim grew up in Denver, graduated from Manuel High School in 1955. Joined the U.S. Navy on August 8th 1955 and remained in the Navy until July, 1959, where he served as a Seabee and trained to be a mechanic.
After his stint in the Navy, Jim returned to Denver, Colorado and worked as a school bus mechanic for Jefferson County Schools. Jim then went to work for Denver Public Schools in 1968, until he retired. In the early seventies during the busing turmoil going on In Denver, Jim was working at the bus terminal on 6th Ave. the night the buses blew up.
Marrying his wife Dolores (Dottie) L. Tillotson, on April 7, 1962, they raised 4 children.
In 1981, Jim and Dottie started the D&J Dairy in Brighton, Colorado, and then moved to Longmont, Colorado in 1983. Sold the milk cows in 2001, and spent the rest of his years fishing, traveling and just taking it easy. Jim was an avid Bronco fan.
Survived by his wife Dottie French, daughter Connie (Thomas) Hanlon of Fort Lupton, Colorado, Carolyn (Roger) Theobald of Fort Pierre, South Dakota, Beverly (John) Foust of Dacula, Georgia and Matt (Denise) French of Longmont, Colorado. Grand children John, Amanda and Charles Hanlon, Ashley, Sydney and Grady Theobald, Steve (Abbey), Derek (Amanda), Cody and Nicole Foust, Andrew Rademacher-Howe, Mathew and Abby French. Great grandson Christopher Foust and Zane Foust.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents.
Cremation has been entrusted to Howe Mortuary and Cremation Services. A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, November 25, 2014 at the Howe Mortuary Chapel, Longmont, CO. A reception will follow the services.
